VALLEY CHRISTIAN CURRICULUM
A Christ-Centered Education That Builds for Life
At Valley Christian School, our curriculum is carefully selected to reflect our mission: to provide a rigorous, Christ-centered education that equips students to grow intellectually, morally, and spiritually. We believe education is not simply preparation for college or career—it is preparation for a life rooted in truth and grounded in faith.
Starting in the 2025–2026 school year, Valley Christian School will fully transition to using the Abeka curriculum across all grade levels and subjects.

1. A Proven, Biblical Curriculum
Abeka’s curriculum is designed from a biblical worldview and integrates Scriptural truth across every subject. Students are taught to think critically and biblically—learning not just facts, but how to view the world through the lens of God’s Word.

“Abeka’s proven approach to teaching helps teachers teach and students learn.
2. Consistency That Builds Across Subjects and Grades
Abeka uses a spiral learning method—introducing, reinforcing, and revisiting key concepts over time. This approach helps students retain and apply knowledge more effectively, while also connecting ideas across disciplines. The result is a cohesive educational experience where learning builds naturally from one year to the next.

Material taught in one subject is reinforced in other subjects. At every step of the way, students learn, apply, and master new concepts and skills.
3. Equipping Teachers with a Strong Framework for Creative Instruction
One of Abeka’s greatest strengths is its teacher-directed structure, which provides a solid foundation and clear progression for instruction. This strong framework empowers our teachers to focus less on assembling disconnected resources and more on delivering engaging, dynamic lessons.

Rather than limiting creativity, Abeka allows our educators the freedom to enrich lessons with their own teaching style, incorporate hands-on activities, encourage deep discussion, and tailor learning experiences to their students. With the essentials well-supported, teachers are free to teach with passion and purpose.
Curriculum Goals and Outcomes
At Valley Christian School, we strive to shape students who are not only academically prepared, but spiritually grounded and morally strong. Through the Abeka curriculum, students will:

-
Grow in their knowledge and love of Christ
-
Build strong academic foundations across all core subjects
-
Develop disciplined study habits and critical thinking skills
-
Strengthen character through biblical principles
-
Gain a love for learning that lasts a lifetime
Our aim is for each student—either at home or in a Christian school classroom—to grow intellectually, morally, and spiritually.

Looking Ahead
We are excited about the opportunities this curriculum transition will bring to our students, teachers, and school community. Abeka’s unified, Christ-centered approach will strengthen the consistency and quality of education across grade levels, allowing us to better support every student’s growth and learning journey.
