VALLEY CHRISTIAN CURRICULUM

A Christ-Centered Education That Builds for Life

At Valley Christian School, our curriculum is carefully selected to reflect our mission: to provide a rigorous, Christ-centered education that equips students to grow intellectually, morally, and spiritually. We believe education is more than preparation for college or career—it is preparation for a life grounded in truth, guided by Scripture, and lived for the glory of God.

Beginning in the 2025–2026 school year, Valley Christian School has fully transitioned to the Abeka curriculum across all grade levels and subject areas. Instruction is further strengthened through Abeka’s ProTeach Video Program, which provides master-teacher led lessons that support consistency, reinforce foundational concepts, and enhance classroom learning while allowing our teachers to focus on application, engagement, and individual student support.

Why Abeka?

Abeka is a trusted leader in Christian education, known for its academic excellence and strong biblical foundation. After careful review and prayerful consideration, we chose to adopt Abeka schoolwide for the following reasons:

1. A Proven, Biblical Curriculum

Abeka is built on a clear biblical worldview, integrating Scripture and Christian principles throughout every subject. Students are taught to think critically while viewing all areas of learning through the lens of God’s Word, developing both knowledge and discernment.

2. Consistency and Academic Continuity

Abeka’s structured scope and sequence ensures that concepts are introduced, reinforced, and mastered over time. This consistent progression helps students build strong academic foundations and retain knowledge as they advance from grade to grade.

3. Strong Instructional Support Through ProTeach

Abeka’s ProTeach Video Program enhances classroom instruction by providing experienced master teachers who model clear, effective teaching of core content. This support allows Valley Christian teachers to focus on reinforcing instruction, leading meaningful discussion, and meeting individual student needs.

4. Empowering Teachers for Engaging Instruction

With a strong curricular framework in place, our teachers are equipped to bring learning to life through hands-on activities, meaningful dialogue, and purposeful application. Abeka provides structure without limiting creativity, allowing instruction to remain both focused and engaging.

Curriculum Goals and Outcomes

At Valley Christian School, we are committed to developing students who are academically prepared, spiritually grounded, and morally strong. Through the Abeka curriculum and ProTeach support, students will:

  • Grow in their knowledge and love of Christ

  • Build strong academic foundations across core subjects

  • Develop disciplined study habits and critical thinking skills

  • Strengthen character through biblical principles

  • Cultivate a lifelong love of learning

Our goal is for each student to grow intellectually, morally, and spiritually as they are equipped for faithful living and future success.
